Publication & Fee Policy

Publication and Article Processing Fee Policy

The Pakistan Journal of Law and Policy is an open-access scholarly journal committed to promoting the dissemination of legal research, policy analysis, and academic scholarship.

The journal does not charge any manuscript submission fee or peer-review fee. However, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applicable to accepted manuscripts, subject to the journal's applicable fee schedule and the terms communicated to authors.

The APC is intended to contribute towards the costs associated with editorial administration, manuscript processing, publication preparation, website maintenance, digital hosting, archiving, and other necessary publishing and operational expenses.

The payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's scholarly merit, originality, relevance, quality, and compliance with the journal's peer-review and publication-ethics policies. The APC does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the acceptance or rejection of any manuscript.

Where an APC is applicable, the journal will communicate the relevant amount and payment arrangements to authors before requesting payment. Any applicable fee requirements will be administered transparently and consistently.

The Pakistan Journal of Law and Policy is committed to maintaining transparency in its publishing charges and ensuring that financial considerations do not compromise editorial independence, peer-review integrity, or academic standards.
